Food Security is defined as ensuring and accessing healthy, balanced, locally available and culturally acceptable food on a sustainable basis irrespective of creed, gender, ethnicity and other forms of discrimination. This right must be available to all with dignity and self esteem.
“If a man is righteous and does what is lawful and right,… does not oppress any one, but restores to the debtor his pledge,….. gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment,… such one is righteous, he shall surely live, says the Lord God.” (Ezekiel 18: 5,7,9b)
