RWUS has completed the distribution of essential household items to 188 internally displaced person (IDP) families, comprising more than 960 individuals, across two relief camps and two resettlement areas.
The assistance included mattresses, mosquito nets and jumbo storage boxes for clothes, addressing some of the basic everyday needs of displaced families.
Even after three years of displacement, the needs of many IDP families remain far from fully met. For families continuing to rebuild their lives, everyday necessities remain important. A comfortable place to sleep, protection from mosquitoes and a safe way to store personal belongings can provide greater comfort and dignity in difficult circumstances.
While these may appear to be simple household items, they can make a meaningful difference to families living through prolonged displacement. The distribution was undertaken as part of ongoing efforts to support displaced communities and respond to their continuing needs.
RWUS expresses its sincere gratitude to Mid India Mission and everyone who contributed to making this assistance possible.
Rebuilding lives takes time, and continued care and support remain important throughout the journey.
