10 December 2025: Rural Women Upliftment Society (RWUS) marked Human Rights Day by reaffirming its commitment to promoting safety, dignity, and respect for all, following the conclusion of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
The organisation highlighted that preventing violence against women and children begins in homes and communities. RWUS encouraged individuals to support survivors by listening without judgment, speak out against harassment and discriminatory behaviour, and promote respect and equality among young people.
RWUS emphasised that building a society where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued is essential to protecting the human rights of every individual.
